STREAMING AUDIO FEED

Welcome to our WOAS Streaming Audio System. We are proud users and supporters of Windows Media Encoder 9 Series which we use to encode our audio. The audio you hear comes straight from our mixing board and has about a 25 to 30 second lag due to encoding, traveling, and decoding.

NOTE: Our audio is streamed at 32 Kbps outbound bitrate. You must have a high-end 56K modem or better for uninterrupted audio. You can still listen to the stream with a slower connection, but it may periodically stop to re-buffer the stream.

All audio streamed from WOAS 88.5 FM is copyrighted with the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System 2003.

Feed Connection Directions

1. Open Windows Media Player

2. Click on the "Library" tab near the top of the window

3. In the lower left hand corner there will be a plus sign with the words "Add to Library" next to it, click on it to bring up the pop-up menu

4. Click on "Add URL" in the pop-up menu

5. In the Open URL window, enter the following into the text line: http://streams.woas-fm.org:8181

6. Click OK

7. Click on "Other Media" in the Library File Tree (directly above the Add to Library button)

8. Double click on the stream to add it to your play-list and begin the stream
