{"id":1736,"date":"2020-01-09T22:06:40","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T22:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.woas-fm.org\/?p=1736"},"modified":"2020-01-09T22:13:06","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T22:13:06","slug":"s4sd-dbd-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.woas-fm.org\/?p=1736","title":{"rendered":"S4SD &#8211; DbD 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WOAS-FM will be taking part in the STRIVE 4 A SAFER DRIVE (S4SD) program again in 2020.\u00a0 This marks the fifth consecutive year that we will using a $1000 grant from the State of Michigan and Ford Motor Corporation to spread the word about the dangers of distracted driving.\u00a0 Our signature program has become Don&#8217;t be Distracted or DbD.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan State Police trooper Jerry Mazurek nominated DbD 4 for a Governor&#8217;s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission (GTSAC) award.\u00a0 F\/Lt. Donald Horn, Commander of the Wakefield MSP Post, recently visited the Ontonagon Area Schools to inform us that we had been selected to receive the award.\u00a0 While it would be difficult for one of us to be in Lansing on March 11, 2020 to personally accept the award, Lt.
